Manhattan Short Film Festival

This past September the Tupelo Film Festival Society hosted the Manhattan Short Film Festival on Thursday, September 29, at the Tupelo Commons Cinema-Malco Theatre.

Filmgoers in Tupelo, Mississippi united with over 100,000 film-lovers around the world during the week of Sep 23-Oct 2 when the 19th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival screened at local theaters.

This 2016 Manhattan Short received a record breaking 844 short film entries from 52 countries. The 10 Manhattan Short finalists hail from eight countries, with France and Australia represented by two films each. These Final 10 short films represent the best among a record 844 submissions from 52 countries received by Manhattan Short for 2016.

The Final 10 were:

  2. Carousel (England)
  3. Kaputt (Germany)
  4. Ella Got A Promotion? (USA)
  5. Hold On (The Netherlands)
  6. Bravoman (Russia)
  7. Overtime (Australia), Gorilla (France)
  8. I Am A Pencil (Australia)
  9. The Last Journey of the Enigmatic Paul WR (France)
