The 14th annual Tupelo Film Festival was held April 20th thru the 22nd at the Malco Tupelo Commons Cinema in Tupelo, Mississippi. The 2017 film festival was in memory of the late Pat Raseberry (festival director 2005-2016).
The 2017 festival had over 70 films in competition. Also, there were four workshops: Screenwriting hosted by Peggy Webb, Film distribution hosted by Glen Payne, Music in film hosted by Tom Kimmel, and Special FX Makeup hosted by Louis Armour.
Also, showing at this year’s festival was the Tupelo Community Film “Pay the Piper.” It was written and co-produced by Casey Dillard, directed by Maggie Bushway and Glenn Payne, and stars Carlton Wall with a slew of kiddos.
Judging the 2017 films were: Mark Hosack, Miles Doleac, Mari Kenney, Kevin Boon, Don Tingle, and Bart Shannon.
